On Wednesday’s (Nov. 20) episode of #EverydayStruggle, Wayno and DJ Akademiks start off the show discussing Tory Lanez’s recent Hot 97 interview, where he stated that today’s rap is in a ‘horrible place.’ Tory also gives credit to Young Thug for influencing new artists. Soon after, the EDS duo share their thoughts on Tory Lanez’s fourth studio album, ‘Chixtape 5’ in their ‘The Review’ segment. They also answer fan questions asking if ‘Chixtape 5’ will crown Tory the new ‘King of R&B,’ and if he will be considered one of the greatest artists of all time. Later in the show, the EDS crew weigh in on LL Cool J’s recent interview with Sway in the Morning where he reveals that a rapper can not be considered a G.O.A.T, if they don’t write their own lyrics. To close out the show, the EDS squad comments on Kanye recently announcing his collaboration with Dr. Dre on the upcoming ‘Jesus is King Part 2’ album.
