  1. He should've been a 1st ballot HOFer. If you wanna pass him over for 1 year because he was a bad teammates thats understandable but to pass him over 2yrs in a row is ridiculousness and petty of the writers.

  2. I believe in standing for your convictions. But, I think that T.O. is making a mistake. He seems so delusional at times. I've always wanted to see him win, on the field and in life. But, you have to take it on the chin. When you bring certain energy on yourself, you have to accept it. When you make mistakes, you have to own them and become better for it. I hope he changes his mind.

  3. Shannon, Owens shouldn't have to have NFL guys going to voters to get him in. We are not talking about an on the bubble guy, TO is a top three receiver. His name and bust are still going in the HOF, I'm glad TO is doing it his way instead standing there thanking the HOF committee for screwing him the last three years.

  4. Man it he's decision more power to him… one thing's for sure when he looks back on this moment he"ll have nobody to blame but himself for the lost opportunity to tell his side of the story…

  5. First CC and now Shannon are they making Gucci tap dancing shoes now, T.O damn near been begging the for his right to have been in the HOF…. T.O. Made a grown man decision not letting these MOFOs dictate what his tone is valued

  6. Power move. They might even negotiate something for him to show. That's why he hasn't announced where his party or whatever will be.

  7. This is something i can finally agree 100% with Shannon Sharpe with. I always defended T.O and rooted for him to get in but this is embarassing and pathetic. Can't defend him here. What a joke.

  8. You give too much credence to the Hall of Fame when you know they are bias against players so that makes all of your comments weak. I keep hearing about all this trouble but you can't really elaborate besides personal biases. I know what you talking about it must be drugs right? Okay that's not it, how about didn't show up for practices. Damn, no drugs and he did show up and practices but it must been his performance on the field. Give me something please besides personal beliefs. It's funny how Owens is looked at like a problem child but there's a certain type in in New England is talked about like the greatest thing since….. Fridays. Hmmmmmmmmm

  9. This doesn't stain his legacy it punctuates and pretty much sums his career up perfectly. Clearly he has been molded by some pretty traumatic things that occurred with him as a young person, this was evident by his actions/behaviors both during and after his career. I feel bad for the guy- it's really his choice to go or not go…but either way he's the one who will live with that.
