Flashback: XXXTentacion Was a “Boom Bap” Rapper, Spits a Lyrical Freestyle (Part 6)

In this clip, XXXTentacion spoke about how he launched into his music career which began with a track he released prior to going to prison for a year. He also revealed that his style was initially classic “Boom Bap” rap. X considered himself along the lines of an Earl Sweatshirt mixed with a little Biggie before pulling out a few of his best boom-bap verses.
XXXTentacion also had a message for new rappers who come out attempting to replicate Chief Keef, Lil Uzi, and Lil Yachty. He said that you can’t start there, you have to go back and really learn the craft then work from there. He believed it was better to learn the technical side of rapping because it helped him add versatility to his style.

  1. You're exploiting the fuck outta this guy. Almost as low and scummy as you can get. Releasing it in multiple clips and parts in hopes that they each get tons of separate views all to boost your own platform while the guy you're exploiting is literally in the ground and will never know what you're doing. What a sick fuck.
